I Love a Good Pair of Eyebrows Part 1:Jennifer Connelly

It's one of the first things I notice about a person. Eyebrows help make the whole face, they can practically make someone beautiful. Jennifer Connelly has some amazing brows:

She's a great actress. A good thing about her is that she's fearless as an actress. She's not afraid play characters like in Requirem for a Dream. She managed to work her way out of the sexpot ingenue roles and make herself an interesting career. I admire that even though she's gorgeous, she didn't go off on a Jessica Alba "I'm too hot, so I don't get any good roles/no one takes me seriously even though I posed in Maxim, woe is me" tangent. Jennifer actually worked hard to get where she is.

Though people actually do criticize Jennifer Connelly's looks a lot. One of the main complaints people have about her is her eyebrows. The usual complaint goes something like this: "Jennifer Connelly would be so much prettier if she did something with her eyebrows" or "eww she has man- eyebrows!" To those people, I give you a picture of the 21 year-old Megan Fox:

Is this how you want Jennifer Connelly to look? With porntastic eyebrows that make her look 20 years older, evil, and constantly pissed off?

Rock on with your perfect, full eyebrows Ms. Connelly.

You have a seriously cool blog! And I agree with everything you're saying. Eyebrows tend to become thinner and shorter with age, or sometimes simply disappear. Fuller eyebrows make you look youthful and healthy. It's one thing to remove a few strays here and there, but to almost obliterate your eyebrows from your face is a shame. Look at Angelina Jolie. She could look so much younger and prettier if only she would leave her eyebrows alone.

Aww thank you! I admit, I went through a period of overplucking in High School. I remember thinking it was normal to have such thin brows since everyone around me had thin brows too. ( I guess I can also blame my older sister for being the first to pluck my eyebrows for me) I remember seeing a picture of myself and realizing I looked horrible, thus- I vowed never to overpluck again. It's so addictive though, so I can understand why some people tend to go overboard.

My 12 year-old cousin basically plucked out the majority of her eyebrows this summer because some girl insulted her full (gorgeous Connelly worthy) eyebrows. They're growing back, but I just don't understand why people think the thin look is so attractive. I also find it curious that most porn actress-types and lad mag models predominately have thin, drawn-on eyebrows. It's a strange world we live in.

Most excellent! Just saw Jennifer in The Day The Earth Stood Still remake and yes, her eyebrows are still there.

As a guy, I can't stand the overplucked look most girls go for. Give me raw, unbridled eyebrows any day over those wimpy strands of hair.

That is a great point your touching! Eyebrows are beautiful when thick, as long as they have shape. Sadly my eye brows grow thinly so I can only get them done rarely, to clean them up a bit, If i get them too thin I'd feel like self obsessed person. My sister has beautiful thick eyebrows that make her look just healthy and wholesome, though. They look great when theyre freshly done.
